 NDO Lozano is the son of the famous Mexican sculptor, Armando Lozano, who has been creating jewelry and sculpture for more than 25 years. Armando is famous for developing a technique to produce bronze sculptures and jewelry completely by hand, using a torch instead of casting and applying a patina for rich coloration.
NDO has mastered his father's techniques and uses them to design and create beautiful and exotic jewelry. I collected and wore his jewelry before we had our art galleries, and found him in a strange way. I was wearing a sculptural belt buckle designed by Armando Lozano that I had purchased in a Mexico City gallery when I entered an art gallery in Guadalajara.
NDO was working there, noticed the buckle, and said "my father made that." I told him I had been looking for him to see about exhibiting his jewelry in our shop, so he took me to his father's workshop, we became friends, and Galeria Vallarta has displayed NDO's unique jewelry creations since that time. | | |
